We specialize in the storage of ammonium nitrate 1-tonn bags/ detonators etc.
We offer a variety of tailor-made storage options, including open air warehousing and magazine warehousing to cater for all your storage needs.
Inbound logistics
We manage the inbound logistics solutions for your goods into our warehouses, as well as inspection and registration of all incoming products. Our inbound logistic services include offloading, checking the goods for defects and damage, registration of serial numbers on items and storing your products to the assigned locations. Outbound logistics
We manage outbound logistic picking principles, such as ‘Last In First Out’ (LIFO), 'First In, First Out' (FIFO) and
'First Expired, First Out' (FEFO). Before dispatch we verify the accuracy of each order, packing list and parcel labelling and loading the orders accordingly into our vehicles. See Warehousing Handling Procedures below for more information.
MAGAZINE STORAGE FACILITY
We also offer various options of magazine warehousing for Dangerous Goods including detonators packaged explosives and accessories. We warrant that each item is stored according to their classification under the applicable storage and safety regulations.
WAREHOUSING HANDLING PROCEDURES
POWER-IT commits to our customers that all your goods are optimally stored in our freight warehouse(s) and handled in the most cost-efficient way. We find the right location for storing and handling your goods and also ensure the safety of your goods at all times, from the time of receipt up until the time of collection or delivery (should you choose to utilize our Logistics Services by following the below procedures:
Regular contact is maintained with in-bound transporters and clearing agents to ensure we are kept informed of the location of vehicles conveying product and to enable us to estimate arrival times at our warehouses.Each consignment is verified against the respective documents and visibly checked for damage. Bagged product is weighed prior to placement at the assigned location in our warehouse.Our customers are advised of the receipt of the goods and of any shortages, weight discrepancies and/or damages identified. Thereafter, storage and stacking is commenced in terms of International warehousing best practices.
Stock records are updated in real time as the product is received into and dispatched from Warehouses. Stock counts are undertaken on a weekly basis and the relevant information is relayed to the customer.Products are only released from our warehouses upon receipt of a loading instruction issued by our customers and is dispatched in terms of the handling instructions given by the customer.
